A Christmas Vacation Story on Beliefnet.com > Mindfulnessmatters

Although there are a lot of links I ignore, this one caught my eye and so struck me that I wanted to share
it.

As my comment on the blog indicates, I found my mind desperately wanting to know “the rest of the story” – to have some context for the powerful experience it described.  Not knowing the context, I was left holding the experience itself, and maybe that’s the point.

Again and again I am struck by the power of our stories. Reading this post, I learned a lot about how stories come to be, and how they shape our world.  And I learned again that sometimes the most important thing to do is to be mindful in the moment, to let the moment unfold without telling it as we go, and in that we find the real story underneath the words.
